Use your favourite noodle and any kind of protein with this sauce. Don’t forget the real parm that you grate yourself.

Fry the ground beef with more salt and pepper, maybe a little cumin, drain and add to sauce. Cook for 15 minutes on medium heat. Taste for flavour, maybe add salt and pepper, a bit of honey, tomato paste to thicken.

Saute onions till almost soft, then add garlic, cook for 5 min. add spices, cook for 5 min. Add tomatoes, cook for 20 minutes. Blend with immersion blender of regular blender using small batches. Add carrot and cook till very tender.

3 cans plum or Roma tomatoes
2 Tablespoons basil
1 Tablespoon oregano
2 carrots quartered
1 Tablespoon salt
2 teaspoons pepper
1 teaspoon fennel seed
1 teaspoon cayenne…more or less depending on how hot you like it
